Toolbar Button
After the software installs, you will have to close all Internet Explorer windows and then re-open Internet Explorer in order for the Baggle toolbar button to be visible on your browser toolbar.  If, after closing and re-opening Internet Explorer, the Baggle toolbar button is still not visible, select VIEW - TOOLBARS - CUSTOMIZE from the Internet Explorer menu (as shown at right). Then, on the right of the Customize Toolbar screen scroll until you find the Baggle icon.  Select it and then click Move Up until it is next to an icon you know is visible on your toolbar (such as the 'Home' icon - it looks like a house). Then click 'Close'.  The Baggle toolbar button should now be visible. Back to top.

Adding Items to Your Baggle Bag
Once you have the Baggle toolbar button visible in your Internet Explorer browser, you are ready to add items to your Baggle Bag.  When you next see an item you want to save to your Bag, simply click the Baggle button on your toolbar.  This will open the Baggle Bagger software application window.  It should appear over your Internet Explorer browser toolbar.  The following paragraphs describe each screen you will encounter while using the Bagger software. Create or locate existing user.
This screen you will only see once after you have initially installed the Bagger software. This screen is where you put in your Baggle UserName, your E-mail and your Password.  If you have previously created an account at Baggle.Com, simply enter that information here.  If you have not yet created an account, enter your desired UserName, your E-mail and a Password.  The application will create a Baggle.Com account for you.  You can start an account and a new Bag from the software (without visiting the Baggle.Com Web site at all).  This screen also includes the 'Protect' option which, if checked, will require that you enter your e-mail and password each time you add an item.  The Protect feature is for when you are using the Bagger on a shared computer and you don't want other users adding items to your Baggle Bag. Select desired Baggle account
Once you have initially created or located your UserName, this screen will be the first you see after clicking the Baggle toolbar button.  This screen allows you to select your UserName from a drop-down list.  If you have the 'Protect' feature on, it will require that you enter your E-mail and Password.  Otherwise, you will go straight to the Bag selection page.  If you have previously turned the 'Protect' feature on and now want to turn it off, click the 'delete user from this computer link.'  You will have to re-enter your UserName, E-mail and Password, but you can leave the 'Protect' feature unchecked and, in effect, turn it off. Create New Bag
If your account does not have any Bags created, this screen will appear after you have selected the appropriate UserName.  You can create as many Bags as you like.  Create Bags for others to see, or private ones for your use.  When you create a Bag, you can make it private so that only you can view it.  Or you can password-protect your Bag, which means that others can view it but they have to know the Bag's password in order to view it.  These Bag settings can only be set from the Bagger when you create the Bag. If you later want to change the settings (such as changing the Bag from private to public), you can do so at the Baggle.Com Web site.  Simply log in to your account, select the Bag you want to change and then click the 'Bag Settings' link. Select Bag
If you already have a Bag in your Account, this screen will appear after you have selected the appropriate UserName.  Select the Bag you want to save the item to.  If you want to create a new Bag, select the Create New Bag option from the drop-down list and you will be taken to the Create New Bag screen (described above). Highlight description of item
Once you have selected the Bag where you want to save the item, this screen allows you to use your mouse to highlight the text on the Web page that describes the item.  Click and drag your mouse over the text description of the item.  When you release the mouse, the Bagger will copy what you have highlighted and proceed to the next screen where you can confirm that the proper text was saved.  You can also type into this screen.  If the description of the item isn't highlightable, simply click the 'click here' link that will take you directly to the next screen where you can manually input the description. When done, click 'Next.' Back to top.

Click item image
After saving the description, this screen appears and allows you to simply click the item's image on the page.  If successful, a screen will appear for a couple of seconds with a thumbnail of the image you clicked.  On a very few Web sites, this image clicking function does not work.  In those cases, you will need to click 'Next' and bypass this function.  In almost all cases, you can manually add the image later from Baggle.Com if desired. Highlight price
Just like the description screen, this screen allows you to use your mouse to highlight the price of the desired item.  The Bagger will copy what you have highlighted and proceed to the next screen where you can edit the price manually, or click 'Next.'  The price field is currently required, and will not accept any characters other than numbers, commas and periods. Optional Details
The last screen allows you to type in any additional details about the item such as size, quantity desired, color, or additional notes.  Click 'Done' when finished. Back to top.

Successful submission message
The last screen indicates that your item has been saved. If you check the box to not receive the message in the future, clicking 'Done' on the previous screen will close the Baggle application window.  Click 'OK' on this screen to close the window. Back to top.

Saving Items with Web Browser favorite (bookmark)

For Mac users, Netscape users, and AOL users who wish to use the AOL browser - you can use Baggle by adding a favorite (or bookmark) to your Web browser.  When you find an item online that you want to save to your Baggle Bag, select this favorite (bookmark) and a framed page will open and walk you through the process. To add the 'Add to Baggle' favorite to your browser, you must have a Baggle account.  Log in to your Baggle account, click the help icon at the top of your Bag and follow the instructions there to add the favorite. Back to top.

Adding items to your Baggle Bag
After you have added your favorite to your browser, you are ready to shop.  When you see something you want to save to your Bag, select the favorite (bookmark) from the favorites (bookmarks) menu.  This will open a framed page that will walk you through the item-saving process. Back to top.

Select User or Login
The first time you use the browser-based Bagger you will need to log in with your Baggle account UserName and Password and click 'Continue.'  From that point forward, at least on the same computer, you will see your UserName listed and you will only need to click 'Continue.' Multiple users can use the computer to save items to their Bags and these user's UserNames will be listed on this screen.  Just select your UserName from the drop-down list and click 'Continue' or select the 'Select Different User' option from the drop-down list and log in with the desired UserName and Password. You can set the 'Protect' option which will require a password each time an attempt is made to add an item. This is helpful if you are using a computer that is used by multiple people and you want to make sure no one else adds items to your Bag. Back to top.

Select Bag
The next step is to select the Bag into which you wish to save the item. Existing Bags will be listed in a drop-down list. Alternatively, you can select the 'Create New Bag' option from the drop-down to start a new Bag. Back to top.

Saving the item description
Copy and paste or type in the item's description into the description field. A quick way to copy and paste is to highlight the text description on the page, hit CTRL-C (copy) on your keyboard, place the cursor into the description field, and then hit CTRL-V (paste). Back to top.

Saving the item price
Select the appropriate currency from the drop-down list and then type in the price.  When finished, click 'Continue.' Back to top.

Saving the item Image
The item-save window automatically loops through all the images on the page and displays a list of thumbnail images. Click the desired image. If the correct image is not displayed (which can sometimes happen if the site uses frames or has certain server settings), then you can either bypass this step by clicking 'Continue' or you can save the image manually. To save the image manually, click the 'Enter Manually' button and then do the following: Back to top.

    1. Right-click the desired image and select Properties.
    2. Highlight the Address (URL) of the image. You can also triple-click to highlight it.
    3. Right-click and select Copy or hit CTRL-C.
    4. Paste the address into the field provided in the Baggle Item-Saver window.
  • Netscape Users:
    1. Right-click the desired image and select 'Copy Image Location.'
    2. Paste the address into the field provided in the Baggle Item-Saver window.
  • Opera Users:
    1. Right-click the desired image and select 'Copy image address.'
    2. Paste the address into the field provided in the Baggle Item-Saver window.

Optional Fields
The final screen allows you to either close the window, view your Bag, or enter additional details such as size, quantity desired, color, notes, etc. Click 'Continue' when done. Back to top.

Using the Baggle.Com Web site

Favorite Bags Feature
The Favorite Bags feature allows you to keep a list of frequently accessed Baggle Bags so that you do not have to look them up every time you want to view them.  It is also how you can jump back and forth from your different Bags (if you have more than one). To add a friend's Bag to your Favorite Bags, you must be logged into your own account first.  Then, look up the Bag.  Finally, click the 'Add to Favorite Bags' link which is located both on the search results page and at the top-right of the user's Bag page. Share Item Feature
If you have an item on your Bag that you think a friend would like, you can send it to their Baggle Bag along with a message.  First, you must be logged into your Bag.  Also, you must have that friend's Bag on your list of Favorite Bags. Back to top.

Copy to Bag Feature
If you are viewing someone's Bag and see an item you would like on your own Bag, click the Copy to Your Bag link to the right of the item. Back to top.

Purchasing Items for Others
When you want to purchase an item off of a Baggle Bag, find the item and click the 'View or Buy' button to the right of it.  On the next page, indicate how many of the item you are purchasing and leave a message if desired.  NOTE: you will be purchasing the item from the site where the Baggle user originally found it.  You are not purchasing from Baggle.Com.  When you click the button on this page, the Baggle Bag item will show up as 'purchased' for every one who later views the Bag.  If you are not sure you are going to purchase it, go back and click the 'View' button instead.
